Russia strikes big on Ukrains's energy infrastructure

2026 01 09 X Zelensky Attack Ukraine

As of the time of publication, heating was knocked out in about 6,000 apartment buildings across Kyiv — nearly half of the city's total — following the Russian attack overnight, according to the mayor.

The city is also facing water supply interruptions, with emergency power outages being introduced.

"I appeal to the residents of the capital, who have the opportunity to temporarily leave the city for places where there are alternative sources of power and heat, to do so," Klitschko said.

The mayor said that hospitals and maternity wards have been reconnected to power and heating. Efforts to restore power and heating for residential homes in Kyiv is ongoing.

Mykola Kolisnyk, deputy energy minister, said that the fewer consumers there are, "the easier it is to handle the situation." If there is no heating supply, residents start using electricity to heat their homes, which, in turn, increases electricity consumption, the official added.

"This is why, when the population is more, let's say spread across villages and other regions, there will be less pressure specifically in one city," Kolisnyk told the Kyiv Independent.

kyivindependent.com - Kyiv Mayor Klitschko urges residents to 'temporarily leave city' as Russia targets critical infrastructure

The foreign minister of Ukraine has called for United Nations Security Council meeting to discuss this horrible attack and that indicates that this was very serious.

[. . .]

we can imagine that something serious happened in Kiev. We can also imagine that the Russians gave advanced warning to Zelinsky about the impending attack, because he went on air last night telling Ukrainians to stay indoors in basement because a big attack was coming.

[. . .]

it's understandable that with all of these developments that are against its interests and which assume that it has no ability to respond. The Russians would act and they've acted in a way that I think the real patriots and the pressure the people in the close circle of of Vladimir Putin in Moscow who have certainly been pressuring him to drop the friendly the gently gently approach and to show the fist.

[. . .]

putting an end to it [the war] would mean that those who have invested all of their political capital in this continuation would be forced out of office. And I think there's a big contradiction between the national interest and the personal interest of the leadership in at least 25 out of 27 of the member states of the European Union. So they are they're in it for the same reason that Netanyahu is continuing the war because the moment he stops continuing the war, he'll be going to prison. The same reason why Zelensky is continuing the war regardless of the massive loss of life of his men and that is as soon as he stops the war there'll be an election he'll be voted out of office or simply be murdered. So these are regrettably contra the deep corruption in these societies involved where there is a contradiction between the personal interests of leaders and the national interests of the people who put them in power. That's never a good thing. Well, not when you get rational policies at least

again another attack upon Russia's nuclear capability. So I think that this the Russians at this point realized okay the these weren't accidents. This is deliberate and we're going to respond but they're going to respond appropriately. So what did they do this time? They they took out 50% of the stored natural gas in in Ukraine. 50%. and they attacked other key energy substations and centers throughout Nepropet, Saparisia, Kiev. And so, Russia is in the process of literally turning off all the lights and energy in Ukraine as we enter the depths of winter and it's cold. And they just announced in Kiev that Klitschko is asking people to leave the city, particularly those that live in, apartment buildings or condos that are higher than 10 stories because they've got to they've got to shut off the water. Otherwise the pipes are going to burst and then you get burst pipes the you know the entire plumbing system for sewage and potable drinking water disappear. So Russia is being measured in its response. It's it's not lashing out and hitting NATO bases throughout Europe. I think that will that would be a Russian last step.

[. . .]

How close do you think we might actually be to a war now?

Oh, well, we're closer now than we were a year ago. And you know, it wasn't just the drone failed drone attack on the Putin residence, official residence on the 28th. It was then the capture and boarding of the US of the Russian flag tanker. And it wasn't as the West tried to portray it that this tanker just quickly in the last minute flagged itself as Russian and not really being Russian. The Russian foreign minister came out with just a scorching statement yesterday condemning this as piracy, condemning this as illegal. Um the what was fascinating is the crew consisted of two Russians, one of whom is the captain, eight Georgians and 20 Ukrainians. Now, think about this. Here you got Russia and Ukraine at war, but you got the Russian captain of a ship with 20 Ukrainian crew. And apparently, they weren't fighting each other out at sea. But I just learned this morning that the United States has released the two Russians, sent them back, but meanwhile, the eight Georgians and 20 Ukrainians are facing criminal charges in the United States.

[. . .]

they [the US] think that they can bully just as we did with in in Venezuela. We can go in and flex our military muscle and get away with it without paying a price. One of these days NATO, the US and or NATO will cross the line and Russia will be compelled to strike outside of Ukraine. At this point, they're content to hit the targets inside Ukraine, including any NATO facilities. Two days ago, three days ago, Russia hit facilities in Zap, let's see, Neprop, in Odessa and up farther west in Ukraine that were all US-owned factories, US-owned facilities and Russia attacked and destroyed them.

[. . .]

what I've read is the Russians did warn the United States three hours before launching [the Oreshnik missile] because they wanted to make sure that the United States who who has satellites that monitor launches of what could be an intercontinental ballistic missile would understand what we're launching is this intermediate missile. We're not going to tell you where it's going in Ukraine, but it is confined to Ukraine. So, they were warned in advance and then United States started calling around people saying, "Watch out. Something bad's coming."

[. . .]

I think there's an element of pressure from China, from India, lesser extent Brazil, that Russia should try to make a good faith effort to negotiate with the United States. Now I think that that there has been in the wake of the attack on Putin's residence and the abduction of President Maduro that the pressure that would have come from China, India, Brazil, on that issue, has now abated and abated significantly. I think they now recognise that the United States is a lawless country and we we we see no reason whatsoever to abide by international conventions, international rules.

[. . .]

They [the US] just they admitted the UN is a joke. The UN not to be paid attention to. This is the law of the jungle, and Dimmitri Medeved I think correctly observed and captured and commented on this within the last 24 hours. You know it says hey it's who's the biggest and strongest in the jungle. It's all about force. It's not about right and wrong. It's not about law. No. And that listen, this cuts completely against Vladimir Putin's approach because as a lawyer, he has been trained to actually respect the law. You know, people say, "Oh, that's ridiculous." But no, he's made quite a point about dotting eyes, crossing tees, and trying to proceed in a legal legal manner in accordance with international law. Now they're being told in the course of the last 10 days that international law no longer matters and Russia should be prepared to act accordingly.

[. . .]

the military situation on the ground in Ukraine though I think it's going to rapidly deteriorate. What we're seeing now is going it's going to accelerate and Russia Russia will finish purging. You know Ukrainian soldiers out of Donetsk and they will be well advanced. In fact like right now they're something like 20 kilometers from Zaparisia. this huge city the same in Sumi. So they're they're at the point where they they'll be able to surround and envelop uh Zaparisia, Nepro, Nepropetros, and Sumi. And all of a sudden, you know, three major cities for Ukraine are in jeopardy of being lost. And at that point, you know, Putin's made it clear that the deal that's been on the table that's going to be replaced by a new deal, which means if they occupy Nepropetros and Sumi and Poltava, then those oblasts are going to have a chance to vote to become part of Russia.

Conscripts receive two weeks of training before battle. The government has resorted to “busification” or kidnapping to force men to comply with the draft. Soldiers are expected to fight until they are killed to too badly injured to continue fighting. Reports state that there is little rotation from the frontlines as Zelensky has simply run out of men and plans to use the remaining troops as cannon fodder.

Sentiment is quite different when people believe in cause. The current war has dragged on for four years, no progress has been made on peace deals or treaties, and the scope has widened significantly due to the globalist neocons who have been patiently waiting to join the battle. The elites demand destruction from the safety of their glass castles while millions live in fear, hiding from the death and destruction that awaits them.

Follow the money!

As he boarded the night train to Ukraine,  Boris Johnson  had the usual entourage of aides and bodyguards – plus the man who had given him £1m

Less than a year had passed since Johnson accepted what is thought to be the largest donation ever to an individual MP. It was from Christopher Harborne, one of the UK’s biggest and most private political donors.

Harborne, whose millions helped bankroll Brexit, made the payment to a private company Johnson set up after resigning as prime minister. Now leaked files show that Johnson, a champion of Ukraine in office and since, was accompanied in September 2023 by his benefactor on a two-day visit that included meetings with top officials.

Vast amount of money lost to corruption!

the latest revelation has been a hundred million dollar payback scheme that was engineered by one of Zelinsky's close associates. And when that came up, that was about a week ago, maybe two week almost two weeks ago, it it was brought by the Ukrainian anti-corruption investigators and they have been put into gear mainly because of pressure by the United States. So, so that's kind of the tip of the iceberg. That that's just small potatoes because if we look at the total amount of money that's been pumped into Ukraine since 2022, it's about $360 billion. And out of that, I estimate that the corruption's running be somewhere between 15 and 30% of that. Probably towards the 30% line. That's what the auditors found with the involvement in the United States in Afghanistan. The corruption was running at 30% in Afghanistan. I think it's probably pretty close to that in Ukraine. So we're talking Mike about big bucks. We've got at 15% of the corruption money go lining the pockets of the of the corrupt 54 billion and at 30% it would be 108 billion.

Kick-backs?

The European leaders are ignorant and are the puppets of NATO. They are too stupid to see that the Neocons are manipulating them. This nonsense that Ukraine should not be split is insane. That was the ONLY way to stop the ethnic killing in Yugoslavia. Czechoslovakia split in two as well. The Minsk Agreement, which even Germany signed, was to allow the Donbas to vote. Merz refusal to honor the word of Germany is dooming Europe to World War III. If they reall want peace, surrender the Donbas. Else, then sacrifice all of Europe to a third world war. There will NEVER be peace with Russia because people like Kallas hate the Russian people.

The only way for Europe to avoid this war is to stand up and demand that they have a say in creating war. European leaders will lie and put Europe at risk for Ukraine, the most corrupt nation on Earth. Zelensky’s Chief of Staff is now implicated in stealing $100 million. How musch more money will the West hand these people to stuff in their private accounts. They never get enough. Are they paying kickbacks to NATO and Europeans leaders?

The destruction of Europe

War is a great way to default on debts. You get to form a new government, and they always disavow the debts of the previous government. Europe has been committing economic suicide. Between the COVID-19 Lockdowns, the NET-ZERO Climate Change, and then the sanctions on Russia that doubled their fuel costs, you could not ask for a more brain-dead group of politicians who have ZERO comprehension of even how the economy functions.
